My second book (Vengeance at Midway and Guadalcanal) begins with the Battle of Midway. Seventy one years ago today this titanic struggle changed the course of World War II. Japan invaded the territory of the United States on the Aleutian Islands of Kiska and Attu during the campaign. FDR ordered a press black out to prevent citizens on the west coast from panicking over the presence of Japanese troops on the soil of Alaska.

Even with Imperial Japanese troops in Alaska the US Navy sortied against the Imperial Fleet at Midway. The seminal battle changed the course of the war and history. Read what it was like to be in one of the cockpits. Read why the Navy fought at Midway instead of in defense of the Aleutians. Read about the greatest Naval victory in the history of America’s Navy.
